FonicOfficial is the model name for Francheska Welbourn

In his poem ‘The road not taken’, Robert Frost describes how choosing the one less travelled by has indeed made all the difference.

Meeting and working with Fonic for me has had a similar impact.

Fonic is known for creating fantasy characters using wardrobe, hair and make up design to deliver stunning imagery. Her style is bold and colourful, edgy and breathtaking, at times a little bit out of the comfort zone for most polite company. I met her in late 2024 after a chance message to ask if she would help me on a photo shoot. I must admit I was a little bit nervous about meeting due to her larger than life persona from her portfolio, but I needn’t have worried.

To say we hit it off straight away would be an understatement. Fonic understands project briefs and delivers a wide range of modelling styles with flair and ease. Her character is raw and her gymnastic approach enables her to try almost anything.

I have now completed many shoots with Fonic and have witnessed the skillful approach of this talented woman on numerous occasions.

So I had an idea…Why not form a body of work that show the dimensions of Fonic?

This special project will explore and show the wide range of skills and styles that Fonic has in her locker. The examples displayed will endeavour to be completely different to her own portfolio and show layers that are completely different to her usual art.
